Three Simple Tips That Stop Low Self Confidence

This article describes three simple tips to stop low self confidence। The combination and practice of these three tips will give one the building blocks to establishing true self confidence. This article explains where to start and what to expect as you combat low self confidence through practical daily tips.


Low self confidence affects everyone at different times of one’s life. Self confidence is a trait that is needed in order for us to accomplish our daily goals and achieve success in all areas of life. It is expected that one may experience short time periods of low self confidence much like how professional athletes encounter a slump from time to time. However, prolonged periods of low self confidence can be a serious problem to one’s physical and mental health




Low self confidence can at times feel like an impossible task to overcome। The reality is that we are usually only a few simple steps and practices away from achieving high levels of true confidence and poise. There are many practical tips one might use to solve their own low self confidence problem. I will introduce three simple steps that are easy to understand and building blocks for establishing self confidence.




The first tip is proper breathing। The importance of breathing is crucial to developing self confidence. I am referring to methodical breathing that gives one a sense of physical balance. We all breathe all the time even though we are rarely aware of it. That is why we do not know how to increase the power and capacity of our lungs.


One simple exercise on breathing consists of standing straight with your head turned slightly back. Fill your lungs with air by taking a deep breath and count up to ten before exhaling powerfully। As you exhale, maintain a continuous low hum and be free of any trembling. The purpose of this exercise is to instantaneously provide you with a stimulus before an important encounter. This exercise should be performed twice a day at a minimum of five minutes per session. This deep breathing will develop your lungs over time. You will notice yourself having much less occurrences of being out of breathe and also much more control when you are affected by emotion that accelerates your senses.



The second tip is maintaining effective physical motion। Many people fear that others will ridicule them because of the awkwardness of their physical movements. Other people are embarrassed because of clumsiness in which they cover themselves with ridicule. They then think and focus on this in their minds which causes further constraint in their gestures and mannerisms.




It is very simple to cure this condition. You must make up your mind to conquer this weakness by acquiring ease in all of your movements. Awkwardness occurs only in public. We are never embarrassed alone in the privacy of our home। Like all things, repetition of any act will diminish the emotion that gives rise to it. That is why consistent physical exercises are needed to reprogram one’s outlook on this problem.


You can practice this tip after your breathing exercises। The object is to acquire an easy, relaxed carriage from repetition. One exercise to achieve this is as follows. Expand your chest as far as possible while throwing back your head and extending your arms. Use smooth movements not jerky ones. Try to extend yourself further every time you perform this exercise. As you do this, hollow out the back so it becomes a perfect arch. Next one should walk through a room and focus on keeping their steps of even length and body erect.


The focus of this tip is to remove all jerky and abrupt movements which portray timidity। You will eventually feel relaxed in public and move in a very slow and controlled fashion. This tip alone can increase one’s self worth dramatically.


The third tip is to practice speaking। A forceful speech will always convince an audience. Eloquence is one of the true gifts of self confidence. One major reason for this is that one’s mind is always fixed upon the object he or she wishes to attain by arguments. This eliminates all unnecessary wandering of thoughts.


Clearness of conception will be reflected and poise will manifest itself in someone who no longer feels himself to be the object of laughter or mockery. In addition to mental focus, there is a distinct physical exercise that can give you powerful speech.

Open your mouth as wide as possible and then shut it rapidly. Open it once more to its fullest extent and then shut it to a point where the jaw fatigues। This exercise is used to combat “heavy jaw”. This is a feeling in your jaw that restricts pronunciation of words and causes people to hesitate or feel uncertain about their speech patterns. In addition to this exercise, practice reciting long sentences containing difficult consonants. This will give you the self confidence to speak more fluidly in public.

On Ignorant Cell Phone Users- Should I Use Pepper Spray or Stun Gun ?- by James Raymond

Is there such a thing as cell phone etiquette? Here are my thoughts :

1,When you are in public, find a place where you won't bother people. We do not want to know what you did last night or your future plans.

2,Have you ever heard of vibrate mode? Use it when you are in church, library, restaurant, movies or other such places. I thought this was common sense but ....

3,When you receive a call and you're with someone make it very short or offer to call them back. Otherwise, it is very rude to the other person or persons.

4.Don't use the cell phone when you are driving a car, You will inadvertently hit someone when you are maneuvering a curve or at the very least inconvenience other drivers with your delays. Some communities have a law against using a cell phone while driving. I hope all communities and cities pass such ordinance.

5.If you are working servicing people ( cashier etc), set your phone down until you finish your task, You shouldn't be talking long on the phone anyway when you are working. Who gets paid from talking to their friend anyway?

6,Don't use you cell phone when you are exercising in a health club. It is very annoying to people around you. Besides, what can't wait until after you exercise.? I thought you exercise to reduce stress.

7.Don't use your cell phone when you're with your child bicycling on the sidewalk. The reason should be obvious or you shouldn't be a parent. Why do they have a test for driving but not for being a parent?

8.When you are waiting in line, do not use your cell phone. All the people around you are prisoners to your conversation. Remember what Woody Allen said about being locked up in a cell with an insurance agent. ( No disrespect meant for insurance agent. I once was one myself.)

9. Don't use your cell phone when someone is doing your tax return. It is no only rude and annoying but it could cost you money.

10. Don't use your cell phone when you are walking your dog. Your dog needs quality time with you.

11. Using a cell phone while cooking is a no no. It is not fair to your family. Call the people back. If you are single, what the ?

12. Don't use your cell phone while a policeman is writing you a ticket.

Using a cell phone while jogging is not a good idea . (ergonomically)

If you refuse to change your telephone etiquette, take a wired phone and go into the bathroom and … No that’s too cruel।

To exfoliate:
Mix together two cups of Epsom Salt and ¼ cup of petroleum jelly. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil for a pleasant fragrance. Apply the mixture to gently scrub away old cells and encourage a healthier-looking complexion.

For a facial:
Mix ½ teaspoon of Epsom Salt into a deep cleansing cream so you can reap the benefits of this mineral deep inside your skin. Massage the mixture onto your skin and then rinse with cool water. Pat dry.

To accompany a pedicure:
Before you go to the trouble of painting your nails, soften your feet by soaking them in a bathtub or plastic basin with warm water and Epsom Salt for at least 10 to 15 minutes. The salt will help to smoothen your feet, giving them a relaxed and refreshed feel.

Relaxing bath crystals:
Mix two cups of Epsom Salt with a few drops of a delightful fragrance to create a custom bath crystal. To dress up your bath crystals, add a few drops of food coloring or ½ teaspoon of glycerin. Store the crystals in an airtight container.

Soothing spa treatment:
After showering, the Epsom Salt Council recommends massaging handfuls of Epsom Salt over wet skin to exfoliate the body. “It's the same treatment many upscale spas use, without the upscale price!”

For a tranquil soak:
Fill your bathtub with water at a comfortable temperature that you enjoy. As you’re filling the tub, add two cups of Epsom Salt to the water (if it is a standard-sized bathtub – make adjustments for larger tubs). Soak for at least 12 minutes, three times a week for best results. As an extra treat, the Epsom Salt Council recommends adding a few drops of eucalyptus oil for an invigorating aroma.

Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), in one of its role as facilitator of the Malaysia’s Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC Malaysia) has been entrusted with the responsibility to create a pool of knowledge workers to satiate the needs of the MSC Malaysia.
In MDeC, K-Workers Development Department has been given a task to implement a programme to help fresh graduates gain real-working experience to enhance employability through attachment with MSC Malaysia Status Companies.
MSC GTP is the replacement programme of MSC Internship programme that ended in December 2005.


Goals of MSC GTP
The goals of this programme are:
To equip fresh graduates with a real-world working experiences to enhance employability.
To match-up the skills and requirement from participating companies with the talented pool of young knowledge workers.
The participating companies will be able to identify potential knowledge workers for their manpower requirement.


Eligibility
Must be Malaysian fresh graduates from all fields of studies with less than 6 months of working experience after graduation.
Minimum qualification to enrol into the programme is Diploma from recognised universities or colleges.
Minimum CGPA to enter the programme is 2.50 and above.


Structure of Programme
A job attachment at MSC Malaysia Status Companies upon graduation.
The graduates will be working on a real project supervise by a mentor to monitor his/her performance and guide in ensuring the project is execute accordingly.
The Trainee is entitled to a Salary.
